Memory-Card-Recovery.This invention relates to devices for aerosolizing liquids, such as injecting or administering medications to a patient, and, more specifically, to an automatic injector that is particularly adapted to aerosolize liquids.
Medication or other substances are routinely administered to a patient for various purposes. For instance, a patient may require a particular medication for pain relief or other purposes. The patient is typically admitted to a hospital or other medical facility where a nurse or other medical personnel (hereinafter collectively referred to as medical personnel) will give the appropriate medication to the patient in the form of a liquid, such as a solution or a suspension, or a solid (e.g., pills), for example. In some circumstances, however, it is inconvenient or impractical for the nurse or other medical personnel to administer the medication to the patient in such a manner. For instance, the nurse may be unable to enter the patient’s room to administer the medication to the patient. Even if the nurse does enter the patient’s room, she may not be able to administer the medication without first entering the patient’s room and opening the door. Accordingly, the nurse or other medical personnel may be forced to administer the medication to the patient in an improper manner, such as by injecting the medication into the patient’s body through the patient’s skin, i.e., subcutaneously.
In some cases, subcutaneous injection may be impractical for the medical personnel to perform because it is difficult to apply proper amounts of liquid to the area where the injection is needed. For instance, the medical personnel may not be able to effectively visualize the area where the injection is needed. Accordingly, the liquid may be sprayed in a very wide and chaotic manner in which the

GPGPU: how can I get started?
So I’m looking to take the next step from (relatively simple) distributed programming to GPU computing (for DSP tasks), so I’m doing some looking around and can’t find a coherent introduction to GPGPU. I’ve found a fair amount of buzz but not much information, so I’m wondering:
How does it all work? Why am I not just using GPU computing? (eg. the relatively recent “The Swarm” video game is an example of just such a simplistic approach)
Can anybody recommend a book that gets you started on GPGPU (and if so, can you put it into a few lines of python)?
How do I find a mentor that might help me out? What kind of organization(s) do they have? Do they have their own compiler or language?
Any resources, links, or even small projects that you have in mind?
Any help would be appreciated!
A:
If you have a specific CPU architecture (Intel, nVidia, IBM, etc) then you will have a GPGPU toolbox. For example, Intel provides OpenCL as the open-source solution, nVidia provides their own GPGPU framework which you can port to CUDA, and AMD also has a GPGPU architecture which you can use (although I don’t know how well it works in Linux).
If you don’t have a specific CPU architecture then you need to choose a particular general-purpose GPGPU framework, and then for each CPU architecture it can be ported to, you have to find a GPGPU toolbox for that particular CPU architecture. At the moment, the only open-source framework I know of is CUDA, which works on all the common CPU architectures, but it is not a good solution for you if you want to write your code in a language like Python.

There are three things you need to do to get started:
Write a kernel in the language of your choice
