The challenge of this game is that you need to deal with an extreme horror experience, in a real asylum.
The asylum is a huge place, containing all the rooms of the building. In the end, you will need a map to navigate through the different locations, but to find all the items and clues, you will have to look around and search for it yourself, without the help of a map.
If you want to survive, you will have to be very careful and pay attention to your surroundings at all times.
The asylum is equipped with many dangerous devices that you will need to avoid at all cost. You may need to get out of your comfort zone and change your normal way of thinking, in order to survive in this unique world.
Meet Dr. X, your main opponent, who is in charge of the asylum. She will be your enemy, but she could be an ally too, if you play the game smart.

Deca is developed by debut game developers and it is the first (and only) game published on Steam with Croteam, the makers of Serious Sam and now Tomb Raider
The gameplay of Deca is unique. It takes all the elements of an extreme horror game, and one that takes place in a real asylum, in order to provide a very immersive and atmospheric experience.
Deca is also the first game where moving is disabled, and the only action is the button to click. Deca is a stealth game, where one wrong move can cost you your life.
DECA is designed to keep you on edge and to let the story unfold from the beginning to the end.

The Asylum
The Asylum is a mental asylum which has been closed years ago, and now its patients are not being cared anymore.
As an escapee, the main character has to get through the asylum to find an escape, by following all the clues of the story, and the map will not save you.
The main character has to approach every area at her own pace, in order to find all the objects and clues necessary to continue.
This game is a survival horror game, it is not a horror adventure game with a heavy story line. You will have to get to the end and survive. The storyline will only be revealed as you progress through the asylum.

      Heroes at War, XCOM: Enemy Unknown, Limbo, Rayman 3, Sly Cooper, Assassin’s Creed III, Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, Ninja Gaiden 3 and Grim Fandango Remastered are all games that will be on display at Indiecade, the annual Independent Games Festival this year. There are hundreds of games at this year’s Indiecade from which to choose.

      First up is Gamasutra’s Gabrielle Toledano, who is sitting down with the studio that is bringing us Hitman, Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Read on as she plays the game and then walks us through what it’s like working on an Eidos Montreal project. I hope you like our chat.

      Independent games are usually very tight on budgets and budgets for a video game budget can be considered a baseline of how low the budget is. But Eidos Montreal decided that was not good enough. They were able to rent out a studio in Paris and spend a large amount of money on computers, desks, monitors and other things. In the end it turned out to be about $250,000 and it paid off.

      The game went very smoothly for a first time out. It took six months for us to make this game because we are a small team. The game is now released and doing really well.

      Having been involved with indie game development for a long time I remember when they would say it’s the first time you’ve ever shipped a game. It’s definitely still a first time, but I think it’s been a good experience.

      We would love to be the game that you wish you would have had a chance to play in the 90’s, early 2000’s, mid 2000’s or now. That’s certainly something that we would love to do.

      We want to do a third-person shooter, but we love to do first-person shooters too. You’re going to get a taste of that in this game.

      I think we’d like to mix in our dark fantasy feel into a military shooter.

      Pikmin is back! Sort of. Think about Pikmin 2 in a new setting, a darker setting. Themes of danger and evil are established before even a single item can be picked up. And those items are always the wrong ones. Just from the title, you know that you’re not in for a friendly run through the woods. You are playing in a warzone.
      It’s about time for a change. You have it. You’ve been in the wilderness for what feels like eons, but you’ve also been trained by your predecessors, including your Grandfather.       Your grappling hook provides you with four basic skills; swing, smash, jump and grapple. Swing is usually performed by a button press. It’s similar to pressing a button to make Pikmin jump, and is to be used for short bursts of speed. For regular walking, simply press forward. To go left, use a right as well. To go right, use a left. Smash can usually be performed by tapping on the controller either by itself or in succession with another button. It is mainly to be used for turning around, and for things like breaking through barriers. Jump is usually performed using a button that you press once, and it allows you to jump over obstacles and things like that. Lastly, Grappling usually uses a button in succession with one of the four previous skills, but it’s primarily for turning in and around obstacles and used for ascending and descending walls.
      Gameplay
      It’s time to get your game on. Y’all know how this works. You enter a world, you eat your first snack, you press all four buttons to control your character, and then you have to figure out what to do and how to do it. Easy enough, right? For this game, the control scheme for your grappling hook is very similar to the control scheme for an Xbox 360 controller. I don’t usually bother with explaining these control schemes, but this control scheme requires some explanation in order for you to fully understand it.
      First off, press ‘1’ to use the grappling hook. Forwards should point the hook to its left, backwards should point the hook to its right, and nothin’ else. This is the most basic and easiest way to use the grapple. If you just press ‘1’ it’s almost guaranteed
